Controllers suited for hazardous locations

A Rogue Engineering product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 22, 2009

Rogue Engineering has introduced the Director line of low-cost customisable controllers.

The Director range is a set of low-power controllers designed to control multiple remote units in a Class 1 Div 2 hazardous location.

Standard features include four com ports, battery backed real-time clock, flash memory, on-board I/O, and built-in solar battery charging circuitry.

All Directors include an LCD display, buttons, and an encoder knob for creating simple user interfaces/HMI.

The systems run the open-source FreeRTOS operating system and come with all necessary APIs for full customisation using C language.
