QuickQuote from Quickparts.com has been certified for Autodesk Inventor 6 and Autodesk Inventor 7 under the Autodesk Inventor Certified Applications Programme.

"We are extremely pleased to have our QuickQuote addon certified by Autodesk.

By integrating our instant quoting technology into the Inventor environment, we are making it easier for engineers to quote and buy custom-designed parts", says Dr Ronald Hollis, President and CEO of Quickparts.com.

QuickQuote for Autodesk Inventor provides users with an easy format to quote and buy rapid prototypes, cast urethanes, CNC machined parts, metal castings, sheet metal parts, injection mould tooling and metal castings.

By defining the process, quantity, finish and lead-time, users have the freedom to perform unlimited what-if scenarios without leaving the native Autodesk Inventor environment.

Only when the user selects the "Buy Your Part" button are the native CAD and STL data transmitted over a secure connection to the Quickparts servers.

From there, the user can complete the order or choose to e-mail, print, or save the quote.

The entire process can take 30s or less.

"For companies looking to speed up their go-to-market process, QuickQuote for Autodesk Inventor offers the edge needed to make product development more efficient", added Barrett Kamille, Partner Applications Manager for the Manufacturing Division at Autodesk.

"Design engineers can make live changes to their Autodesk Inventor models and get immediate feedback on project costs, thereby saving time in the quoting process and reducing the time to deliver products to market".
