Rapid prototypes available as next-day service
Quickparts has extended its next-day manufacturing service for SLA rapid prototypes.
MyQuote, a locally loaded desktop application, will be available to engineers and buyers whose company policies prohibit them from transmitting product CAD data across the internet.
MyQuote was developed in response to requests from several Fortune 50 and government contractor companies who need the benefits of the Quickparts.com instant quoting solution, but whose company and security policies do not allow the transmission of product data over the internet to the Quickparts.com website.
MyQuote allows non-Internet buyers of build-to-order parts and rapid prototypes to experience the benefits of the Quickparts' instant quoting engine, called QuickQuote, including instantaneous quotes, unlimited what-if scenario quotes, automatic customised PO and related document creation, and elimination of the typical wait time for traditional RFQs.

Users of MyQuote will be able to locally load their CAD model sets from their own computer hard drives, select a manufacturing process, quantity, and materials, and then click on "create quote".
MyQuote will then instantly produce and display a binding quotation for the outsourced manufacture of the user's build-to-order parts.
To place an order with Quickparts.com for the parts, the user clicks on "order parts", and the customised purchase order is automatically created.
The customer's CAD data, purchase order, and project specifications are automatically packaged for secure delivery to Quickparts.com according to the customer's acceptable practices.
"MyQuote is our response to our customer base who want and need the benefits of Quickparts' instant quoting technology, but cannot transfer product data over the Internet", said Quickparts President Ronald L Hollis, PE.
