Free downloadable desktop version of instant quoting engine for rapid prototypes, cast urethanes and quickturn injection molding joins Solid Edge Voyager Program.

Quickparts' Myquote 3.0 - the free downloadable desktop version of Quickquote instant quoting engine for rapid prototypes, cast urethanes and quickturn injection molding - has joined the Solid Edge Voyager Program.

"The Voyager Program is designed to promote tools that maximise productivity throughout the entire design and manufacturing process", said Mark Davies, Voyager Program Manager.

"Solid Edge users can definitely benefit from Myquote, a desktop application that lets users instantly quote and buy custom designed parts from rapid prototypes to quick-turn injection molding".

Mark Mackie, VP of Sales and Marketing, Quickparts, said: "We are pleased to be a part of the Solid Edge Voyager Program".

"Quickparts has taken the lead in providing engineers with an easy process to get custom-manufactured parts from 3D CAD designs".

"We are committed to providing Solid Edge users with tools that facilitate their design and development process".

Users of Myquote locally load their 3D CAD data from their computer hard drives, select a manufacturing process, quantity and materials, and then click "Create Quote".

Myquote then instantly calculates and presents a custom binding quotation for the manufacture of the user's parts.

To place an order, the user clicks on "Order Parts".

The customer's CAD data and project specifications are automatically packaged for secure delivery to Quickparts.

Once the files are received, a Quickparts project manager contacts the user to discuss the project in more detail and ensure quality parts are received under the specified delivery time.
