Instant quoting capability to be provided within recently introduced ASP service.
Resinate is to offer Quickparts's instant quoting capability within its recently introduced ASP service, Resinate Material Advisor (RMA) v4.0.
Resinate will provide a link to Quickparts from within RMA v4.0.
The companies intend to develop further the strategic alliance in 2003 by integrating the instant quoting technology within the framework of Material Advisor.
According to Brian Schiebel, VP of Sales for Resinate: "We saw a great opportunity to provide additional value to our customers by adding Quickparts instant quoting capability".
"Once our customers have selected the material that is best suited for their parts, the next step would be to learn the cost to manufacture their custom parts".
RMA integrates seamlessly into 3D CAD environments including Autodesk Inventor, Pro/Engineer and Solidworks.
By automating the material selection process, RMA cuts several days off the typical product development cycle.
"We are excited by this alliance with Resinate, as it enables our technology to add value to RMA v4.0", said Mark Mackie, VP of Sales and Marketing at Quickparts.
"More importantly, the alliance will enable the Resinate customer to get the quotes needed for Rapid Prototypes instantly and easily".
The online instant quoting system allows engineers the opportunity to turn their 3D models into real parts by providing them with automated, instantaneous quotes for the manufacture of rapid prototypes and preproduction parts.
