St Regis Paper has upgraded its Quality Information System to QISoft's QIS 5, with drivers to capture data from various process and business systems, including ABB, Measurex, Eurotherm and Neles
St Regis Paper, the paper making division of the UK-based David S Smith Group, has upgraded its Quality Information System to QIS 5 from QISoft across all its UK mills.
A number of new QIS ProcessLink interface drivers have been ordered to automatically capture data from various process and business systems, including ABB, Measurex, Eurotherm and Neles.
Using powerful internal statistical functions, the data is analysed in real-time and displayed on easy-to-interpret charts together with concentrated product and process information.
In addition to the increased functionality of all the base modules, a new Document Library module has been added that enables full document management with links where required to 3rd party applications.
Operators can now monitor process and product performance with access to all associated documentation (ISO 9000, Standard Settings etc.).
QISoft has converted all existing specifications and data to the new version and will provide full training and 24x7 support for the system.
