Hydraulic fluid goes green

A Q8 Oils product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Jan 21, 2008

Synthetic ester-based hydraulic fluid is ideal for applications where soil contamination is an issue.

Q8Oils has developed a synthetic ester-based hydraulic fluid that it claims provides antiwear performance at least comparable with conventional mineral based oils.

Holbein 46 achieves biodegradability results in accordance with OECD requirements.

This makes it ideal for applications where soil contamination is an issue - such as in forestry, water management, agriculture, construction, quarrying or refuse collection.

These high-risk applications are ideal for Holbein 46, where, in the event of a spillage, minimum impact is made on the environment.

As well as meeting a range of ISO and DIN standards, the new fluid is one of only 60 products worldwide that also meets the requirements of the strict Dutch VAMIL regulations.
