Quadrispace introduces documentation system

A QuadriSpace product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Aug 19, 2009

Quadrispace, a provider of 3D product documentation software, has announced a technology that provides time-saving benefits for documentation.

The suite is used to create documents, illustrations and animations from 3D CAD models and then share 3D information with others through standard formats.

Smart Template technology lets users import their 3D CAD models into a template, customise the automatically generated document and then publish to standard print, web or interactive 3D formats.

Document3D includes more than 50 pre-designed templates, each capable of leveraging 3D models to automatically create pages that include 3D graphics, tabular parts lists, step-by-step instructions and more.

Through a combination of page design and 3D tools, users can create custom templates or author free-form creative documents.

Smart Template technology also provides tools to automatically insert multiple pages of information by combining a template with user-created 3D information such as parts lists, exploded views or illustration sets.

With a single operation, the technology can insert hundreds of pages of graphical content into a document automatically.
