The QTERM-G55 rugged graphic operator interface terminal, available from QSI Europe, can now be supplied as a panel-mount variant to complement the existing handheld unit.

For specialised mounting applications, a module version (comprising display, CPU board, keypad and mounting bracket components) can also be supplied for customised installation into clients' own housings.

These Ethernet-enabled terminals feature object-based programming and are designed for a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.

The excellent readability of the backlit transflective LCD and TFT displays also makes these products suitable for use in rail, maritime and aviation environments or other locations subject to sunlight or high ambient light conditions.

VTERM-G55 units suitable for road vehicles can also be supplied.

The QTERM-G55 uses an object-based graphic terminal programming language called Qlarity (pronounced clarity).

Designing a simple control panel interface or a complete stand-alone application has never been easier.

The ability to use predefined objects, edit existing objects or author your own objects provides flexibility to the novice and expert alike.

Qlarity Foundry, a PC based design tool provides a Windows environment for screen creation, application simulation, debugging and downloading to the QTERM-G55.

The panel mounted unit features an ABS polycarbonate housing with rubber overmoulding to provide NEMA-4 sealing (IP65 pending), with UL HB flame rating.

The ruggedised construction is vibration resistant, suitable for use with mobile equipment or in CNC machining applications.

The greyscale FSTN display is 320 x 240 pixel with a "live area" of 76.8 x 57.6mm, incorporating software control of lighting brightness and contrast.

Either 24 or 40 key membrane/steel snap dome operator keypads can be supplied with optional LED key illumination.

It can be supplied with two EIA232/422/485 serial ports with hardware or software handshaking.

Ethernet 10Base-T or a Power-over-Ethernet interface can also be supplied.

2Mbit Flash with 16Mbit SDRAM are provided as standard, together with programmable speaker.

Additional options include real time clock and audio codec for wav files.

Optional case colours (blue, black or grey) can be supplied, including customising of the product with special key legends and company logos, together with factory programmed MID code to protect against unauthorised use of the equipment or software.
