Stanley Components has introduced a series of 1.5W white light-emitting diodes (LEDs) in a 5mm x 5mm x 1mm surface-mount package, offered in a variety of colour temperatures.

Colour rendering of 95 (CRI) is readily available.

The series is split into SCW1643US high-efficiency and SCW1653US high-CRI types.

The two 1654 devices typically deliver 111lm/W at 300mA (82lm/W minimum) and come in 6,500 and 5,000K versions.

The 1653 types deliver a minimum of 39lm/W and come in 5,000, 4,200, 3,500, 3,000 and 2,600K versions, delivering a brightness level of 60-70lm/W typically, depending on the colour temperature.

The viewing angle is 120 degrees and all devices are multi-die - with six LEDs wired in parallel.

The maximum current per device is 360mA.

Typical applications include residential lighting, office lighting, plant lighting, store lighting and general lighting.
