Alco Ventures, manufacturer of high-end aluminium building products, has agreed to implement Iced*CAD engineering-to-order (ETO) technology in its operation.
Alco Ventures, manufacturer of high-end aluminium building products, has agreed to implement Iced*CAD engineering-to-order (ETO) technology in its operation.
Alco Ventures is a major aluminium building products manufacturer with operations in Langley, British Columbia, Cambridge, Ontario, and Bakersfield, California.
Starting 25 years ago with a single aluminium railing product, the company has grown its product line to include a wide variety of retractable window and door products, patio and carport covers, as well as a complete line of do-it-yourself aluminium railing and retractable screen door systems.
Brands created by the company include the Vista aluminium railing systems, Mirage retractable screen doors and windows, and ProBuilt do-it-yourself railing systems.
"We found that the wide range of products we offer, coupled with the unique set of variables that each customer specifies, means that we have been forced to look to advanced technology to be able to fulfil sales quotes, create engineering drawings and complete orders", said Ben Hume, CEO Alco Ventures.

Iced*CAD represents the new generation of ETO technologies by providing complete integration of existing 2D and 3D CAD data into an innovative sales fulfillment system.
Iced*CAD enables a customer to specify unique product requirements via a web interface and then obtain a complete sales quote, including accurate engineering drawings, prices, bills of materials and more - instantaneously.
