Tekbend offers Crippa's Diagonal shaping machine

A Tekbend product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 20, 2009

The Diagonal shaping machine has a deformation power of eight tons and can remove shavings and perform other basic operations such as pipe threading and trimming.

The board that holds punches is inclined at an angle of 30 degrees; the frame placed underneath it collects and conveys down the lubricating oil and the wood shavings, making the voiding easier.

The Diagonal has: a blocking clamp aligned with the frame to allow the user to change the tools more quickly; a tool-changing beam that holds up to seven standard places (these can be increased); automatic pre-locking of the clamps with all the safety measures; one single area for liquid top-up, which is placed at the back of the machine; increased dimensions of the frame to contain even more encumbering punches; and a detached console that allows integration in work isles.

It has several standard accessories, including the pneumatic predisposition to use the machine for particular works, bright column to indicate the status of the machine and internal lightning.

The Diagonal also features: a warping head that has guides with the right protections to avoid a build-up of waste and to avoid damage to the guides; a lubrication system that avoids the contamination of lubrication oil in the pipe; and scrap discharge from the back side.

The work area can be accessed from two sides: from the front part and sideways, which enhances the performances and simplifies the maintenance and the installation.

The machine is completely closed and is provided with a fit to vacuum fumes and emulsion oils.

The Diagonal decreases noise in its surrounding area.

Heat is dissipated from the top of the machine instead of the sides; this allows the machine to be placed almost adjacently to other machines, saving room and avoiding overheating of the machines close by.

Electric parts can be accessed at the back of the machine.

Maintenance is easier thanks to the orderly disposition of the different accessories.

The scrap can be discharged directly on the conveyor belt.

The machine can be easily transported with the use of a fork lift.
