IRt/cs are small, accurate, noncontact infra-red sensors which require no outside power and connect directly to temperature measurement and control instrumentation.

IRt/cs are small, accurate, noncontact infra-red sensors which require no outside power and connect directly to temperature measurement and control instrumentation.

Now QHi-Infrared, one of the UK's leading specialists in infra-red technology, offers the Micro IRt/c, claimed to be the world's smallest noncontact infra-red sensor, measuring just 2.54cm in length and 0.63cm diameter.

Low cost, accurate, versatile and easy to install/use, the exceptionally small size allows new, noncontact infra-red technology to be fitted to some equipment and processes for the first time where space is a major factor.

Sensors are available in a wide variety of temperature ranges and the small optional aluminium air purge kit makes it possible to use the Micro IRt/c even in harsh environments, so expanding still further the number of machines and processes which can benefit from this revolutionary technology.

A wide variety of mounting brackets will ensure easy fixing whatever the machine or process involved.

Traditional temperature measurement using contact thermocouples can cause product wastage, contamination and, inaccuracy due to thermal lag.

The IRt/c avoids these problems by monitoring continuously the temperature of the core product without contact, thereby improving production line performance and reducing waste.

Process applications are vast, typical uses being cooling, drying, heating, gluing, curing, hot melt, packaging, laminating, mixing, injection moulding etc.

This new addition to infra-red temperature monitoring technology is a real breakthrough for OEMs and the process industry.
