Golden Jubilee research fellowships

The origin of the research fellowships lies in the Queen's wish that gifts to mark her Golden Jubilee should take the form of initiatives which would be of benefit to the wider community.
I want to thank the 2001 award winners for contributing to this new initiative.
It's a measure of their commitment to excellence in enterprise and innovation and a fantastic way to mark the Golden Jubilee".
The research projects will be carried out under supervision of the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Strathclyde, the London Business School and the Welsh Enterprise Institute at the University of Glamorgan.
Commenting on this Golden Jubilee initiative, HRH The Duke of York said: "The Golden Jubilee fellowships, to which last year's Award winners have contributed so generously, will add further value by enabling a number of Award winning companies to work with academic experts on key enterprise topics".
"I particularly welcome the fact that a key factor in the selection of projects for fellowship support is the benefit which the results will bring, not only to the company involved in the research, but also to the wider business community".
