"I urge them to apply for an Award and receive the recognition they deserve.
There is no entry fee, and no limit to the number of Awards that can be made each year, yet the benefits of winning are significant and wide-ranging".
Those benefits include significant positive press coverage, boosts to staff morale, the right to use the coveted Queen's Awards Emblem and raised profile in the marketplace - factors of genuine value to businesses of any size.
If an application is unsuccessful the companies will receive detailed feedback about the strengths and weaknesses of an application that might enable them to apply successfully another time.
Queen's Awards are made in three categories - International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development.
Any UK-based business unit with two or more employees can enter.
