Radio Data Technology (RDT) is proud to announce the launch of the new wireless video transmission VideoWave 2.4GHz system.

Radio Data Technology (RDT) is proud to announce the launch of the new wireless video transmission VideoWave 2.4GHz system VideoWave 2.4 is brand-new and specifically engineered for countries within the European Union (and beyond) that use the 2.4GHz band as a standard for all wireless transmission

The product takes advantage of the EU approval on single-band, low power CCTV transmissions without a user licencing requirement.

VideoWave 2.4 is designed for sending and receiving composite, real time video signals from CCTV cameras and related products using wireless technology.

It is a high quality product aimed at the top-end of the market and boasts proven video processing technology together with up to 500mW power output where local regulations permit.

The low power 12V operation provides the perfect answer to most surveillance applications such as CCTV point-point, air to ground, mobile surveillance and remote site monitoring as it optimises power consumption and enables flexibility for covert use.

Says RDT director, Gary Honeywood: "2.4GHz has been a natural progression from our our very successful 1.394GHz VideoWave system with the emphasis placed on high quality and reliability which the professional sectors have come to expect from RDT's range radio based products.

Both the 1.4 and 2.4 video transmission systems can be used in conjunction with our RM9600 radio modems for over air telemetry control." VideoWave 2.4 is modelled on the very successful VideoWave 1394 series made specifically for the UK market.

Unlike conventional wire-free transmission methods such as microwave and infra-red systems, line-of-sight is not a definate requirement.

The signal strength indication feature assists with the antenna installation and link verification.

VideoWave 2.4 therefore provides a highly cost-effective solution to complex methods of cabling and temporary installations.

Each VideoWave transmitter and receiver is supplied complete with a short range 1/4 antenna and a miniture 12volt switchmode PSU.
