The new Robin installation testing RV 16 video provides a guide to the 16th Edition Wiring Regulations and how installation testers can be employed to satisfy those requirements.
The revision of the wiring regulations continues to put an onus on contractors not only to carry out a myriad of installation tests thoroughly, but also to fully document these results.
Robin has developed a unique and major time-saving solution to this documentation problem, PowerCert II electrical installation test certificate software.
The range of tests required on a complex installation can often involve carrying a significant number of weighty tools.
Robin has also addressed this issue by combining ten separate function tests, covering all the tests normally required by BS7671, into one portable multifunction tester, the Robin KTS 1630 digital multifunction tester.
The results can be downloaded to a PC running Robin PowerCert II software and merged with site details captured on a Palm OS handheld to produce NICEIC-compatible certificates.
