Robin is offering a low-cost tester suitable for electrical contractors carrying out the four primary test functions required by the 16th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations, BS7671:2001 The package comprises a compact digital multifunction tester, high quality leads and a purpose-made holdall

The Robin KTS 1610 digital multifunction tester is the smallest multifunction installation tester on the market.

It offers continuity and insulation testing, together with loop impedance and RCD testing.

During continuity and insulation testing, protection is provided by a live circuit warning lamp; an integral overload; and fast and safe automatic discharging for capacitive circuits following testing.

During loop impedance and RCD testing, the instrument rapidly detects internal overheating and halts measurement; can display supply voltage value in loop impedance mode; uses short duration, low test currents to prevent tripping of most passive RCDs; features half cycle waveform selection to prevent tripping of polarised RCDs; and enables fast trip testing of RCDs.

The KTS 1610 is housed in a durable, moulded carrying case and the full kit comes complete with tester, SL20 Snap-Lok test leads, SL16E Snap-Lok distribution board test leads and a BS1363 moulded plug test lead, all in a durable storage carrying case which also has space for test documentation.
