The Robin SM200 SocketMaster is a professional tool, designed for contractors to test the safety of installed mains sockets.

The Robin SM200 SocketMaster is a professional tool, designed for contractors to test the safety of installed mains sockets.

Three vivid bicolour LEDs and a buzzer on the SM200 provide an easy-to-check matrix of signals which indicate correct wiring, missing earth, live/earth reverse, live/neutral reverse, missing neutral or live faults.

In the event of a detectable fault occurring, the buzzer will pulse, instead of issuing a continuous tone.

The SM200 is the mid-range model of Robin's newly introduced SocketMaster series of ergonomically designed socket testers.

The top-end SM300 is the only socket tester on the market which also checks 30mA RCDs.

Two soft-touch buttons on the SM300 provide tests for RCDs and for raised earth voltages.

It also has a similar audible warning feature to the SM200 to aid detection of wiring faults.

The SM300 and the bottom of the range SM100 offer the same five checks of wiring connections.
