Testers for compliance with IEE Wiring Regulations
Robin will be displaying its latest 16th Edition testing equipment, PAT testers, continuity testers, environmental monitors and multimeters at Electrex.
The new Robin SM100 SocketMaster is a lightweight, rugged tool designed for professional contractors to rapidly check correct wiring of an installed mains socket.
Three vivid bicolour LEDs indicate the status of the wiring into the socket.
A simple to use chart supplied with the unit clearly indicates faulty wiring.
The SM100 checks for missing earth, live/earth reverse, live/neutral reverse, earth/neutral swap, missing neutral or live faults.
The SM100 is the bottom of the range model of Robin's recently introduced SocketMaster Series.
The top-of-the-range SM300 is the only socket tester on the market to also test 30mA RCDs.
Two soft-touch buttons on the SM300 provide the RCD test and a test for raised earth voltages.
This model, and the mid-range SM200, also offer an extra audible warning in the event of faults being detected.
