Former Senior Vice President of Boston Consulting Group joins the senior management team of Ricardo as Non-Executive Director.

David Hall has been made Non-Executive Director of Ricardo.

As a long-standing former Senior Vice President of Boston Consulting Group, Hall is set to bring considerable and complementary skills to the senior management team of Ricardo, providing valuable advice and guidance in the development of the company's strategic consulting business With masters degrees awarded by Cambridge University and the London Business School, Hall spent the first two years of his career with Morgan Grenfell working in specialist banking and asset management.

He then spent the next 27 years with Boston Consulting Group at its offices in London and the USA.

A key member of Boston's senior management team he was appointed Senior Vice President in 1988, a position he held until his retirement from the company in 2000.

During this time, he split his responsibilities between general management duties and assisting in the development of the group's activities in Europe, the USA and Asia-Pacific as a member of the firm's worldwide executive committee.

He also contributed to the growth of Boston's financial consulting business, which he built to a position where it contributed about 25% of group revenues.

Since leaving Boston, Hall was appointed Chairman of the Financial Service Compensation Scheme and has advisory directorships of a number of commercial organisations.

A committed automotive enthusiast, Hall spends much of his spare time racing his 1954 Jaguar XK120 fixed head coupe, winning in his class in the 2005 season.
