Premier Tech Packaging has broadened its complete systems integration capabilities by adding Nottingham based Richard Simon to its team.
The 125-year-old company (RS) joined the ranks of Premier Tech Packaging in mid-April 2002.
Both parties are extremely confident of the positive effect of this new integration in the bagging, weighing and packaging industry.
"The fit between the two companies is just perfect and provides the market with an exceptional provider", says Doug Hacking, Sales Director for RS based in England.
"Both of us will have a strong base to work from so we can become the leader in each of our respective territories, Premier Tech Packaging in Europe as well as RS in the Americas".
Cornelis A Van Drent, the Managing Director for Premier Tech Packaging operations in Europe, Africa and Asia, echoed Hacking's thoughts.
Both companies will continue customer contacts and operations as they were in the past, but with the benefit of the larger company and enhanced product portfolio.
Premier Tech Packaging (PTP) is one of seven business units under the Premier Tech umbrella.
This unit came into being in 1989 and has managed, in only a little more than a decade, to become a leading equipment manufacturer for the flexible industrial packaging world.
PTP differentiates itself by being able to provide complete integration from its top-of-the-line baggers to the wrapped pallets outfeed conveyors; one phone number, one contact, one company - one solution.
Its equipment lines include palletising, form, fill and seal bagging, valve bagging, FIBC Filling as well as Shockwave bagging systems.
Mostly recognised for its technological advances in densification packaging, PTP's technologies generate many savings and efficiencies when working with fibrous, granular and powder-type products.
As Hacking concludes, "We have made an excellent start to this new chapter in our company's history with the news that we have just won a GBP 600k order with MES (Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding of Japan) for the supply of bagging and palletising equipment to Nippon Gohsei.
The equipment will be installed in Nippon's new plant at Hull which is producing a resin used for hygienic applications in the food industry.
This is obviously a prestigous contract and continues our long relationship with Japanese main contractors and MES in particular".
