RS Components has released the SM500F paperless chart recorder from ABB.

The device is simple to setup, provides four-channel data recording and handles the most hostile of conditions.

The SM500F offers an enclosure design that enables wall, pipe or panel mounting of the unit.

The product is also fully FDA 21 CFR Part 11-compliant and protected to IP66 and NEMA 4X against water and dust ingress, making it suitable for monitoring and recording in tough conditions.

Setup and fine tuning are made easy due to concise menus and fully configurable inputs.

Data is displayed clearly to the operator through a variety of display formats, including chart, bar graph and digital indicator displays.

Data processes can be securely logged to a removable SD memory card of up to 2Gbyte capacity, which also provides support for archiving.

Built-in Ethernet communications provide convenient remote monitoring of the process and afford remote access to logged data.

An 8Mbyte internal memory offers secure data recording up to four universal inputs (with one supplied) .
