The MAH-120 2D barcode reader from Pepperl + Fuchs is one of the first to support the latest 2D barcodes.

Available now from RS Components is the MAH-120 2D barcode reader from Pepperl + Fuchs.

Designed for tough industrial environments and not just for office use, this unique scanner is one of the first to support the latest 2D barcodes, such as DataMatrix, as well as common 1D codes including PDF417, UPC/EAN/JAN, RSS, and over 30 other symbologies.

Features include: omnidirectional reading; focus adjustment with red and green targeting indicator; tactile, visual and audible successful read feedback; and an USB 2.0 or RS232 data interface.

Barcodes are a cost effective way to store information in a compact, electronic format.

With the traditional 1D barcodes being replaced by the more advanced matrix-type, which hold up to 4x more data is a smaller area, RS recognised the demand to introduce a more innovative product to meet its customers' requirements.
