Displacement transducers go ultra-slim
RDP's extensive D5-G range of LVDT displacement sensors have a maximum 25mm range in a body diameter no greater than 9.5mm, and with suitable electronics, resolution of less than a micron is possible
Accommodating a large diameter sensor body is a problem now consigned to history RDP's extensive D5-G range of LVDT displacement sensors have a maximum 25mm range in a body diameter no greater than 9.5mm
The precision displacement transducers have low-friction, non-rotating ball-ended probes which withstand relatively high levels of side loading.
With suitable electronics, resolution of less than a micron can be achieved.
As with many RDP sensor products, these miniature LVDTs are available in a wide range of configurations including special versions designed to operate in gamma radiation to 100M.Rads and for operation in high pressure, non-conducting oil environments.
