Displacement sensors enjoy harsh
environments

RDP Electronics has a comprehensive range of displacement sensors specifically designed to operate in harsh environments.

RDP Electronics has a comprehensive range of displacement sensors specifically designed to operate in harsh environments The PY and LIN series are used in applications involving high and low temperatures, excessive pressures and even nuclear radiation

The LIN range of contacting displacement sensors uses a linear differential inductance principle (LVDT) for measurement ranges from 10 to 50mm.

The range includes options for maximum operating temperatures of either 220 or 600C.

The design of the LIN transducer has also proved successful at pressures of 3000lb/in2, minimum temperatures down to -220C and in nuclear radiation doses up to 100Grad.

The compact PY range has been designed for noncontact proximity measurements in similarly harsh conditions.

PY sensors use a variable reluctance principle to measure the distance of a metallic target from the sensor over ranges of 1.5 to 6mm. Request a free brochure from RDP Electronics ...
