Rotary displacement sensor handles off-axis forces
Based on RDP's patented and well-proven 'noncontact capacitive technology', the RCDT rotary displacement sensor offers absolute measurement with the benefit of a long operational lifespan.
The presence of off-axis forces for a rotary displacement transducer can prove the crucial factor affecting its accuracy, reliability and life expectancy.
RDP Electronics has eliminated these concerns with its RCDT range of rotary displacement sensors.
Based on RDP's patented and well-proven 'noncontact capacitive technology', the RCDT offers absolute measurement with the benefit of a long operational lifespan.
Measurements over an angular displacement range of 300 degrees are possible for both restricted movement or continuously rotating shafts.
The RCDT's internal electronic circuitry provides a linear DC output of 0-3V over the specified measurement range of the shaft with a linearity of +/-1% and a typical full-scale resolution of 0.01%.
RDP Electronics can also offer a double gang version using a single shaft with independent sensors to provide multiple outputs.
