Torque transducer has a dual role

A RDP Electronics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 1, 2008

Sensor is well suited to low-volume testing in research, but is equally at home setting or checking torque values in production.

The Model QSFK-9 torque transducer from RDP Electronics is well suited to low-volume testing in research, but is equally at home setting or checking torque values in production.

Typical applications include torsional fatigue and motor testing in research and development, or component testing and torsional tightening in production environments.

The QSFK-9 is designed to achieve a higher torsional stiffness - which of course varies with measurement range; this increases the dynamic frequency response, which is essential in many applications.

As it is based on a strain-gauge technology the device benefits from being compatible with low-cost signal conditioning to provide a more economical measurement system.
