Torque transducers measure angles and speed

A RDP Electronics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 15, 2008

Compact rotary torque transducers are easy to install and include integrated instrumentation amplification electronics.

The Model 1700 series of Lebow rotary torque transducers from RDP Electronics offer an economical device for angle or speed measurement in research or industrial applications.

The Model 1700s are compact, with body lengths from 62 to 84mm; easy to install, thanks to a variety of mounting options; and include integrated instrumentation amplification electronics for +/-10V DC output.

The five models in the series cover ranges from 0.02 to 1500Nm and are offered with a choice of encoder options for measurement of angle or speed.

Thanks to the contactless transmission of supply voltage and measuring signal, the Model 1700 has low maintenance, is ideally suited for continuous operation and has a hysteresis performance of 0.1% or better.
