RDP develops spring return LVDTs

A RDP Electronics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Nov 19, 2008

RDP Electronics has announced the availability of special spring return LVDTs for applications such as measuring rapidly moving targets.

Until now, high-frequency measurement applications have depended on using unguided or captive type transducers.

RDP has developed transducers combining very high spring force with a very low mechanical mass to achieve a frequency response of +/-2mm in the order of 100 to 1000Hz.

These transducers can track fast moving targets in situations where it might not be possible to physically mount the armature on the target.

The RDP Electronics engineering support team are available to discuss and advise on requirements for these and other measurement applications.
