Renishaw will be displaying three new encoder products on Stand D64 in Hall 11 at Mtec 2005, all designed to give high precision position feedback for a range of industrial applications.

The RLE 20 laser encoder and UHV (optical angle and linear) encoder systems are specifically designed for ultra high vacuum applications, whilst the new Signum encoder range includes innovative features such as the In-Trac auto-phase optical reference mark.

Renishaw's new range of vacuum compatible optical encoder systems are specifically constructed from clean UHV compatible materials and adhesives, to give low outgassing rates and a clean residual gas analysis (RGA).

The new systems are designed for use with Renishaw's industry leading linear and angle encoders, offering precision feedback for a wide range of applications in UHV environments.

New for Mtec 2005 is the revolutionary RLE20 laser encoder system that includes a column reference interferometer specifically designed for mounting onto vacuum chamber walls.

The differential configuration measures the relative displacements within the chamber, eliminating the chamber wall movement and simplifying installation.

Also shown will be the new Signum encoder range, which allows higher speed, higher operating temperatures and ultra-low cyclic error, plus the new In-Trac auto-phase optical reference mark.
