A new website has been launched by Renishaw to promote two free technical seminar days being held at its UK headquarters on 16th and 17th November, supported by Iscar and WEAF.

Included on the website are full details about the seminar event, which also includes tours of Renishaw's award winning machine shop, where staff will discuss the company's approach to process improvement and the many practical lessons learnt.

The event also allows visitors to receive in-depth demonstrations of all the new products recently introduced at EMO Hanover by Renishaw, including the revolutionary Revo five-axis scanning head for co-ordinate measuring machines (CMMs), a new single-sided broken tool detection system, and powerful PC-based software for part inspection on machine tools.

Seminars will inform visitors about practical approaches to maximise machine output and minimise quality costs, enabling them to fight back against lower cost economies.

Alongside thought-provoking presentations about process improvement such as overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), there will also be the opportunity to discuss specific problems with some of the UK's leading experts in machine tool technologies.

Topics covered will include the powerful measure of OEE and the improvements that individual companies can make to raise their performance, reducing cost per part through innovative tooling techniques, maximising machine tool output, increasing inspection throughput, minimising queue and move times, and minimising machine downtime with advanced machine performance tools.

The seminar event is free and visitors will be able to arrive and leave to fit in with their own schedules, choosing from a range of informative presentations that will be repeated throughout the two days of the event.
