Metrology firm opens Chinese office

Andy Buttrey, Managing Director of Renishaw Shanghai Trading, said: "We will be supplying the full range of Renishaw's market leading products, including CMM probe systems, touch probes and laser tool setters for CNC machine tools, linear and rotary encoders for position feedback, calibration systems for machine performance analysis, and Raman spectroscopy systems for spectral analysis".
Buttrey has worked with Renishaw in Asia for the past 13 years, with a specific focus on the Chinese market.
Renishaw opened its first representative office in Beijing in 1994, which was followed by a Shanghai office in 2000.
There are around 30 employees in China, but with offices planned in Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shenyang and Qingdao, this number is set to rise rapidly.
The company is seeking sales and support engineers to work from these new offices, and is recruiting home-based engineers to support customers in multiple cities across China, including Xian, Wuhan, Xiamen and Kunming. Request free introductory details about products from Renishaw ...
