Renishaw has opened a Guangzhou branch office of its wholly owned subsidiary in Shanghai to support its rapidly expanding customer base in South China The Guangzhou office will complement the existing office in Hong Kong, providing sales and support services in south China

The Guangzhou office is the first of four branch Offices to be opened in China over the next six months, with further branches planned for the future.

Renishaw Shanghai Trading Co Guangzhou branch office is based in the Everbright bank building in Guangzhou, and is destined to be the focus of Renishaw activity in South China.

The current plan calls for the office to be expanded rapidly to provide a full range of services from customer support to pre-sales applications advice.

The company is actively recruiting experienced staff in South China, to complement the strong team already in place.

Speaking about the new company, Andy Buttrey, Managing Director of Renishaw Shanghai Trading, said: "Our goal is to provide international levels of service delivered by local employees".

"We are actively expanding our network of offices across the country, to make it easier for our customers to meet and interact with us directly".

Buttrey has worked with Renishaw in Asia for the last 13 years, with a specific focus on the Chinese market.

Renishaw opened its first representative office in Beijing in 1994, which was followed by a Shanghai office in 2000.

There are currently around 40 employees in China, but with offices planned in Chengdu, Shenyang and Qingdao, this number is set to rise rapidly.

The company is currently seeking sales and support engineers to work from these new offices, and is also recruiting home-based engineers to support customers in multiple cities across China, including Xian, Wuhan, Xiamen and Kunming.

Renishaw is also actively recruiting in Guangzhou, Beijing and Shanghai offices. Request free introductory details about products from Renishaw ...
