Chain order from de Havilland for Dash aircraft
Canadian aircraft manufacturer, de Havilland, has named British firm, Renold Chain, as the sole supplier of chain products for the critical control elements in the Dash generation of aircraft worldwid
The program is very simple to use and requires only minimal data on the user's application in order to make it's calculation.
Any missing data is assumed by the program and an optimum chain size, with design recommendations, is then given.
The final report provides important statistical data on such things as: predicted wear-life, fatigue-life, peak-loads, and breaking-loads etc.
It will also warn engineers if the parameters they have entered would result in premature chain failure and, if required, will then calculate a safe alternative option.
Engineers are able to experiment with what-if scenarios by changing chain sizes to see the effect it would have on key factors such as wear life and breaking loads.
Finally, the program will print a report, with design recommendations, including a line drawing of the most suitable chain for the user's application.
