A range of chain treated with Renold's advanced anticorrosion process, Hydro-Service, is now available from stock.
A range of chain treated with Renold's advanced anticorrosion process, Hydro-Service, is now available from stock.
Rather than being a make-to-order item, as with most suppliers, this move is designed to ensure that a range of key chain sizes will be available for immediate delivery.
The sizes that are now available from stock are 0.5 to 1.25in pitch simplex.
The Hydro-Service anticorrosion process provides up to 30 times the corrosion resistance afforded by standard zinc or nickel plating.
All components of the chain are treated prior to assembly, ensuring all surfaces are properly coated.
Unlike other products treated in a similar way, Renold's Hydro-Service chain is safe and environmentally friendly, as it does not contain hexavalent chromium.
It is suitable for use in applications where a high level of corrosion resistance is required such as in the food processing and drinks industries, where the chain is operating outdoors or where it may be exposed to salt water.
