The new, 1/8 DIN PAX Counter Panel Meter and Rate Panel Meter from Red Lion offer many features and performance capabilities to suit a wide range of industrial applications

The new, 1/8 DIN (48mm x 96mm), PAXC (PAX Counter Panel Meter) and PAXR (PAX Rate Panel Meter) from Red Lion offer many features and performance capabilities to suit a wide range of industrial applications.

The PAXC provides a six digit, 14.2mm, LED display and accepts digital inputs from a variety of sources, including switch contacts, outputs from CMOS or TTL circuits and all standard RLC sensors.

The meter can accept directional, unidirectional or quadrature signals simultaneously.

The maximum input signal varies up to 34KHz, depending on the count mode function configurations programmed, and each input signal can be independently scaled to various process values.

Three display indications are provided, with counter A and counter B indicating the corresponding input count values, such as count/batch, count/total, good part/bad part.

Counter C indicates the sum or difference between A and B values to enable the PAXC to tackle more sophisticated applications.

Annunciators indicate which display is being shown.

The front panel keys and three user inputs are programmable to perform various meter functions.

One function includes exchanging parameter lists, which allows double the number of programmable setpoint, scale factor and count load values.

Digital inputs for the PAXR also include outputs from CMOS or TTL circuits and all standard RLC sensors, with a 34 KHz maximum input signal.

The 5 digit, 14.2mm, LED display provides rate, maximum and minimum indications, again with annunciators indicating the display being shown.

The front panel keys and three user inputs are programmable to perform various meter functions, including exchanging parameter lists to double the number of programmable setpoints.

Both the PAXC and the PAXR can have up to four setpoint outputs, determined by plug-in cards, which can also be independently configured to suit a variety of control and alarm requirements.

The outputs are assigned to the rate display value on the PAXR and to any of the three displays on the PAXC.

Once the meters have been initially configured, the parameter list may be completely locked out from further modification.

Alternatively, various security levels will allow the setpoint, scale factor and count load values to be made accessible.

This lockout is possible through a security code or user input.

With a NEMA 4X11P65 sealed bezel and extensive testing to meet CE requirements, the meters have been specifically designed to provide tough, yet reliable, application solutions for harsh industrial environments.
