A Red Lion Controls product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 28, 2002

Red Lion's range of PAX panel meters has been voted the best panel meter on the American market by readers of Control Design magazine.

Red Lion's range of PAX panel meters has been voted the best panel meter on the American market by readers of Control Design magazine.

The PAX range received 39% of the votes from the magazine's readers with the nearest competitor only receiving 8%.

Further praise was given to Red Lion for its overall product support which was given an average 4.2 rating out of a possible 5.

The PAX range of panel meters offers both analogue (for process, voltage, current, temperature and strain gauge) and digital (count, rate, and time/real-time clock) models.

The meters allow 16 point scaling for nonlinear processes and are easily programmable to suit the user's needs.

The meters provide a 0.56in LED display and plug-in cards allow customised applications with alarms, analog output and a variety of communication protocols, including Modbus, DeviceNet and Profibus.

It is this versatility, coupled with the flexibility to add options at a later date, that have made the PAX range such a popular product.

Control Design has a circulation of over 50,000, and the PAX panel meters topped its annual "Readers' choice awards".

Award survey forms were sent to 5000 Control Design subscribers who have the authority to specify, recommend, or buy the industrial automation and control products that are embedded on their machines.
