PID modules handle temperature profiling
Modular Controller users can integrate multisegment temperature profiling for complex processes in the autoclave, heat-treating, food and chemical industries.
Product upgrade eases remote monitoring
BACnet support allows Red Lion Controls products to provide complete system integration and data transfer from any industrial protocol to and from BACnet.
Other features include a 250 alarm point logger, recipe handling, 32bit/floating point math, comprehensive report generation and unlimited password protection.
Operation is either direct, or through network or modem PLC control.
The terminal is robustly constructed for an industrial environment, with a metal enclosure and a noncorroding NEMA 4/IP65 front panel.
The keypad consists of five screen legendable soft keys and a numeric pad with tactile feedback keys for raise, lower, next, previous, enter, delete, exit, menu, alarms and mute functions.
As with all Red Lion Paradigm operator interfaces, the CL40 is configured using powerful Edict software.
With its unique event-driven approach, Edict reduces the requirement for time-consuming PLC ladder logic.
This results in time savings in getting challenging applications up and running, and frequently saves hardware costs by performing functions usually carried out in separate expensive devices.
After completion of the programming, the program is directly downloaded to the CL40 from a PC, without any compiling or saving requirement.
When a change is required in a program, Edict loads only the change, not the entire program, saving valuable online time.
The capability of the CL40 in conjunction with Edict and a PLC ensures a great deal of advanced functionality for the system.
Display pages are easily generated, including PLC and internal variables, text strings, or bar charts.
With over 70 communication drivers available, the CL40 offers a wide range of connectivity including PLCs, variable speed drives, temperature controllers and barcode readers.
