At Production, which runs from 30th October to 1st November at the NEC, visitors will see some of the most recent developments in production equipment, workplace fittings and safety products

Addressing the on-going challenge of ensuring that manufacturing businesses operate safely, efficiently and, therefore, profitably, has now been made a little easier Production, one of the four major exhibitions which make up this year's Manufacturing Week, is designed specifically to address the needs of those specifiers, engineers, designers and maintenance staff for whom facing this challenge is a daily task

At Production, which runs from 30th October to 1st November at the NEC, visitors will see some of the most recent developments in production equipment, workplace fittings and safety products.

They will also have excellent opportunities to discuss their individual requirements with application experts on the exhibitors' stands, potentially saving them many hours of telephone calls, catalogue browsing and internet searches.

Since the focus of Production is specific and well defined, visitors will discover that the stands which particularly interest them are grouped together in a comparatively small area, making them easy to find, and eliminating the need to spend valuable time walking long distances to ensure that nothing important has been missed.

While the concept of Production as a separate and largely self-contained exhibition within the Manufacturing Week portfolio is undoubtedly attractive for visitors, it also brings important benefits for exhibitors.

Visitors with relevant interests will be concentrated in the area where the exhibitors' stands are located, enhancing opportunities for making valuable new contacts, as well as for reinforcing existing business relationships.

In addition, exhibitors benefit from the pulling power of Manufacturing Week which, in 2000, attracted no fewer than 10,393 visitors, 73% of whom came with the specific intention of finding new products or suppliers.

Exhibitors taking part in Production provide a wide range of products and services.

Among the most important of these are safety equipment, maintenance and environmental control products and systems, factory fittings, cleaning and storage equipment, products for security and fire protection applications, and packaged manufacturing plant.

Support for Production is strong, demonstrating that exhibitors appreciate its status as part of the UK's largest full-range manufacturing event.

Strong exhibitor support also ensures that visitors will have the opportunity to see the most interesting new products from leading UK and overseas manufacturers.

Just a small selection of the companies that are participating in the show includes Elesa Clayton, Kerry Ultrasonics, Bott, Schmidt, and Koti.

Production is complemented by three other major exhibitions in the Manufacturing Week 2001 portfolio: Drives, Motors and Controls; the Design Engineering Show; and Automation.

All exhibitions run concurrently from 30th October to 1st November, in Hall 19 at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, the UK's most convenient and accessible venue.

The exhibitions are supported by an extensive programme of seminars, and are co-located at the NEC with the following shows: Inspex, Computers in Manufacturing (CIM), Tooling, and Pre-owned Production Equipment (PPE).
