Reliabilityweb.com has launched a new service to provide online training for Industrial Plant Reliability and Maintenance.

According to Terrence O'Hanlon, President of Reliabilityweb.com, "Members have reported that travel budgets have been slashed while training requirements have increased.

Internet-Based Training (IBT) is great for delivering news skills to engineers, operators and technicians" The live instructor-led course schedule includes Maintenance Benchmarking, Bearing Failure Analysis, Maintenance Planning and Scheduling, and Root Cause Analysis.

No special software is required.

New courses are being added all the time and there are many courses currently in the planning and development stage.

"These courses are designed for busy people and usually last from 30 to 90 minutes with extra time for questions and answers" states O'Hanlon "The technology allows people from around the world to participate in live, instructor-led seminars through a standard Internet connection and a phone line.

The Internet Based Workshops will help participants stay current on best practices and emerging trends.

Participants save travel expenses and spend less time away from the workplace.

In addition, work teams can participate in the training workshop as a group for more effective learning.

"It is part of the overall mission at Reliabilityweb.com to deliver value and benefit to members through information delivery.

Said O'Hanlon, "Internet Based Training is part of that mission and is here to stay.

It is the perfect compliment to live training, CD ROM or video based training.
