Paul Mueller Company provides prefabricated equipment and modules for biopharmaceutical companies, enabling those companies to bring facilities online faster, deliver product to market more rapidly, and realise significant financial gains.
To enhance the value of its services, Paul Mueller felt that a next-generation 3D design package could simplify the complexity involved in prefabrication, thereby accelerating the design phase for its clients and lowering overall project costs.
"In the biopharmaceutical industry, it's all about providing our customers with speed, accuracy and efficiency so they can make their plants operational as quickly as possible", said Gregg Shirey, Technical Director at Paul Mueller Company.
"Rebis software gives us visibility into plant designs before construction is initiated, allowing our engineering teams to 'virtually' assemble equipment and correct problems before they become 'real'.
The software is speeding up our delivery time by as much as six months.
In many cases, our engineers are able to see potential improvements as well as the potential problems, which can further increase our value without slowing down the project".
Paul Mueller selected the Rebis software suite after thoroughly testing several alternatives.
The solution chosen by Paul Mueller includes Rebis' Plant Design Work Group, which consists of piping, equipment, structural, and AutoISOGEN applications.
Additionally, the company has selected Rebis' Process and Instrumentation software for use on a wide range of projects in various industries.
Paul Mueller engineers were particularly impressed with the Rebis software's ability to generate isometric models automatically, allowing much quicker customer review and approval, and enabling engineers to take 3D models into the field to perform customer walkthrough sessions using conventional workstations.
