A new tubular rack actuator combines standard components with 40 years of motion control experience to provide a neat, simple solution for z-axis movement.

A new tubular rack actuator combines standard components with 40 years of motion control experience to provide a neat, simple solution for z-axis movement Due to its modular design, the actuator can be modified to suit customer specific requirements

The actuator uses Reliance tubular rack, which enables fluids, tubes or wires to be passed through the assembly, reducing the risk of entanglement, and keeping the system tidy.

This along with the compact, lightweight design makes the actuator ideal for medical or scientific applications such as: sampling machines, pick and place machines, dispensing machines, specimen analysis, and reagent testing.

On a 20mm stroke length the actuator can cycle at 0.15s, axially repeating within 0.025mm.

The tip can be precisely positioned in the x-y plane within +/-0.2mm when fully extended at 200mm and even more precisely for shorter extensions.
