REO (UK) has introduced a range of Reostab voltage stabilisers which turn fluctuating mains voltages into a reliable output.

The new stabilisers effectively solve power quality problems such as surges, sags and spikes, which have consistently been identified as the underlying cause of system failures, resulting in costly downtime and expensive maintenance.

The Reostab voltage stabilisers solve such problems with a lower cost/kVA ratio than any other automatic stabilisation method.

The Reostab range is designed to be easy to specify, easy to install, easy to use and easy to maintain.

All the end user needs to know is the input voltage and the total load current.

The stabilisers work, using transformer technology, which adds or subtracts voltage from the mains supply.

No electronics are involved in this power transfer, so there is a high efficiency and no detrimental effect on the quality of the actual mains sine wave.

The standard Reostab range caters for single-phase units from 1 to 50kVA and three-phase units from 5 to 200kVA.

However, by utilising REO's special column type variable transformers, units are available up to 1MVA and beyond.

REO can easily incorporate additional options into any of the Reostab range, including, metering, over/under voltage alarms, RFI frequency filters, by-pass switches and additional circuit protection.

The Reostab range will cover all applications where a reliable mains supply is essential to ensure reliable and consistent operation of equipment.

Large units can be configured to control the mains supply to test laboratories and industrial plant to ensure consistently smooth, trouble free operation in such areas as process control and computer controlled manufacturing.

However the range of applications is diverse and will also include such areas as power conditioning for mobile broadcast vehicles, lifts and escalators, air conditioning systems, computer rooms, ship to shore power supplies and hospital equipment.
