The two new members, domestic appliance manufacturer Crosslee and Gardman, a producer of branded garden products, are the latest organisations to join Repic as it continues its rapid expansion ahead of the WEEE Directive's implementation in the UK.
Crosslee, based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, manufactures a full range of domestic appliances under the White Knight, Royal Cozyfires and Hostess brands.
Managing Director David Boyle said: "Membership of Repic is a sound investment for Crosslee".
"Our company can continue to focus on developing and expanding our range of products, safe in the knowledge that we will be in compliance with the WEEE legislation".
Gardman, based in Spalding, Lincolnshire, is one of the top three UK garden and leisure product companies and sells under the Gardman brand.
Paris Natar, Chairman of Gardman, said: "As the UK market leader for garden sundry products we take our environmental responsibilities seriously".
"So joining Repic was a straightforward decision for us".
"While electrical and electronic products are a small but important part of our customer offering, they are growing rapidly and we need to ensure that Gardman fulfils its obligations under the new law".
Commenting on Repic's growing membership, Chief Executive Dr Phil Morton said: "It's great to welcome another two new members to Repic who neatly illustrate the diverse nature of our membership".
"The companies have very different businesses but have both seen the advantages of joining Repic to ensure that they comply with the WEEE legislation".
"As a not-for-profit organisation, we welcome all companies that have an obligation under the new law, no matter how large or small".
"Repic membership is a cost-effective way for all companies to meet the requirements of the directive when it comes in to force in 2007".
Dr Morton continued: "Even if companies are unsure whether or not they have an obligation to comply, it is free of charge to register on our website for live WEEE news feeds that keep our members and visitors to the site updated on the latest WEEE issues that affect their business".
