Rexnord has introduced couplings designed specifically for hot and humid environments.
They are available for both close-coupled and spacer applications.
In addition to being heat and humidity-tolerant, the Omega E HSU and ES HSU are EX-certified and suitable for use in extreme conditions.
The couplings offer the company's standard split elastomer 'flex' element design, including replace-in-place capability and reduced inventory levels.
Torque ratings for the Omega E HSU close-couple design range from 22Nm to 38,400Nm with high torsional stiffness up to 4J/kgm (280m/kg).
For the ES HSU couplings the figures are 22Nm to 4,460Nm and 1.14K/kgm (82m/kg).
