Lens stays clear in nuclear vision

A Resolve Optics product story

Specialist lens is designed to provide uncompromised performance with large image format remote head cameras used in applications including nuclear vision and astronomical star tracking.

Resolve Optics has introduced a new specialist lens designed to provide uncompromised performance with large image format remote head cameras used in applications including nuclear vision and astronomical star tracking.

Because of the requirement, in such applications, for the lens to be radiation-hard and also to cover a large image format - no standard lenses have been available to meet the demands of large image format cameras prior to the introduction of the 20mm fixed focus nonbrowning lens from Resolve Optics.

Manufactured to the highest quality standards the 20mm fixed focus NB lens is able to withstand radiation exposure of up to 53kGy and temperatures up to 55C without discolouration.

Designed to give a 40-degree field of view in both the vertical and horizontal planes and 25 cycle/mm the new 20mm fixed focus NB lens has been optimised for a 12.8 x 12.8mm image sensor.

Measuring only 30mm in diameter the compact f2 lens delivers high image resolution and minimum geometric distortion from 400 to 750nm.
