Sales rise for lens designer

Resolve Optics' sales of its specialist high-performance lens systems have increased by 15% for the 12 months to December 2006 compared to the year before.

Resolve Optics, a designer and supplier of specialist high-performance lens systems, has announced a 15% increase in sales for the 12 months to December 2006 compared to the year before.

During 2006 the company introduced a new specialist lens designed to provide uncompromised performance with large-image-format, remote-head cameras, an innovative optical system capable of monitoring processes up to 950C without cooling plus several new additions to its comprehensive range of radiation-resistant lenses.

Considerable interest was also received from companies with space-restricted applications like aircraft head-up displays that required compact, high-performance zoom lenses.

Reflecting on the latest figures, Sales Director Mark Pontin said "A key driver behind our growth has been that in order to fulfill the potential of technological advances in many industries the need for very high-performance, high-resolution and large format lenses which meet the exact needs of customers has risen dramatically".

"As the requirements of lenses and lens systems has increased so has the proportion of applications that cannot be adequately solved by 'off-the-shelf' solutions'".
