Zoom protection lenses keep image in focus

A Resolve Optics product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 27, 2007

Resolve Optics' motorised zoom projection lens allows a projection system to keep an image in focus throughout zoom travel.

Resolve Optics has designed and supplied a 25-60cm motorised zoom projection lens to Pani Projection and Lighting Vertriebs (Vienna, Austria), enabling the company's projection systems to keep an image in focus throughout their zoom travel.

The Pani zoom projection lens is the first projection lens to incorporate a fully tracking zoom.

Resolve Optics was selected to design and manufacture the new zoom objective based on Pani's specifications.

The zoom objective lens was designed to be incorporated in both the Pani manual and motorised zoom projection systems.

Together with Pani's electronic control and housing the new lens forms a 25-60cm motorised zoom projection lens enabling operators to always keep images in focus.

Drawing upon 20 years experience of specialist lens design for demanding applications, Resolve Optics was able to design and manufacture a single specialist lens that met all the customer's requirements.

In addition to maintaining continuous image focus without manual adjustment the lens zoom mechanism was designed so that when used at angles of up to 45 degrees (up or down) it would not creep, move under its own weight or affect the speed of operation.
