Resolve Optics is offering custom zoom lenses that are claimed to combine compactness and high levels of performance.
The Model 207 motorised miniature zoom lens, which measures 50 x 34 x 31mm, has been designed for use with single-chip 1/2in and 1/3in CCTV cameras.
It can focus on an object at infinity right down to an object positioned just 35mm in front of the lens.
At the same time and at any object distance, the image stays in focus throughout the zoom range.
The use of the lens at such close object distances opens the door to a range of macro applications because it allows an object to be shown at a very enlarged size on a television monitor.
The high-resolution focus tracking of images, macro performance and bore sight accuracy have enabled the Type 207 miniature zoom lens range to offer improved performance over other zoom lenses irrespective of their size, according to the company.
